Pat Vickery

Associate

Pat Vickery is a trial lawyer who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He has a depth of experience in a wide range of complex civil disputes and has handled high-stakes controversies arising in a variety of subject matters, including personal injury, patent and intellectual property, antitrust, trade secret misappropriation, qui tam, oil and gas, partnerships, probate, breaches of contract and fiduciary duty, product defect, and deceptive trade practices cases.  His clients have ranged from single individuals to multibillion dollar companies.

Prior to joining Forrest Weldon, Pat served as a law clerk to two federal judges—the Hon. Amos L. Mazzant III of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the Hon. Edith Brown Clement of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit—as well as an associate for McKool Smith and Gibson, Dunn, and Crutcher, both consistently ranked among the nation’s preeminent litigation firms.

Pat attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated with Honors and served as a Featured Content Editor on theTexas Law Review.  He also served on the law school’s Supreme Court clinic and helped author an amicus brief that was filed in the landmark admiralty case, Citgo Asphalt Refining Co. v. Frescati Shipping Co.  Pat completed his undergraduate work at Texas Christian University, where he graduated from the John V. Roach honors college and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, cum laude, and a minor in Economics.  While at TCU, Pat spent nearly two seasons on the Horned Frog baseball team, as well as completed a summer program at the London School of Economics focused on Econometrics and Game Theory.

In his free time, Pat enjoys exercising, traveling, and recreational aviation.  Pat also enjoys staying involved in the DFW legal community.  Currently, he is a member of the Paul Brown Inn of Court, which is focused on the Eastern District’s Sherman Division where he clerked.
