Microsoft rose 0.9% in recent trading. Alphabet (GOOGL): Shares inGoogle owner Alphabet, whose AI product Bard competes with OpenAI’s ChatGPT,were little changed.
↘️Bayer (BAYRY), (XE: BAYN): The German pharmaceutical and agriculturalgroup was ordered to pay $1.56 billion in a lawsuit relating to its Roundupweedkiller, and said it had stopped a study for a potentially key cardiovascular drug.Bayer stock sank nearly 20% in Germany. Shares of drug maker Bristol Myers Sqibbfell 2%.
↗️YPF (YPF): The Argentinian energy company’s shares rose more than 30% inthe U.S., the day after a libertarian political outsider, Javier Milei, won Argentina’spresidential election. Shares of several U.S.-listed Argentinian companies also rose.
